Simple & Delicious Chili

With the cooler weather approaching, I have been craving comfort foods like chili, spaghetti and meatballs, macaroni and cheese, soups, etc. to make a pot.  Tonight was a cool night to I went to  my go to recipe for chili.   I like this chili recipe because it does not have  chunks of tomatoes plus it’s so easy.  It takes less than 30 minutes to make, or you can simmer it all day to make it even better.

Get out your ingredients.

Brown your ground beef, drain, and return to pot.

dry ingredients

Add your dry ingredients plus garlic cloves. Cook over medium heat for 3 minutes.

add pintos

Stir in pinto beans and cook additional 3 minutes.

add sauce and simmer

Add sauce and simmer for at least 15 minutes, stirring occasionally so it  does not stick and burn to the bottom of pot.

condiments

Serve with your favorite toppings (onions, sour cream, cheese, hot sauce,  etc.)  Wish I had Fritos to sprinkle on this!

Simple & Delicious Chili

Servings: 4

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef ( I used 90% lean which the nutrition information below reflects)

15 oz can tomato sauce

15 oz can Pinto beans, rinsed and drained

1 packet of McCormick Original Chili Seasoning

1/2 tablespoon cumin

1/2 tablespoon garlic powder

1/2 tablespoon chili powder

1/2 tablespoon garlic powder

1 clove garlic, minced

Directions:

 

Brown ground beef in stock pot. Drain, and return to pot.

Add all of the dry ingredients as well as the fresh garlic.

Cook over medium heat for 3 minutes.

Add pinto beans and mix.  Cook an additional 3 minutes.

Add tomato sauce, reduce heat, and simmer for at least 15 minutes.

Serve with your favorite toppings.
